Maureen Kenny (nee Mulleady)

Corroclough, Kiltoom, Athlone, and late of Clonkeen, Taughmaconnell, Co. Roscommon.

Maureen Kenny (nee Mulleady) passed away on Saturday, February 7th 2026. Peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, in the tender loving care of the staff of Roscommon Hospice, age 93 years.

Much loved wife of the late Tommy and loving mother of Mary (Cunniffe), Geraldine (Kenny), Declan, Anne (Higgins), Irene (Fleming) and Catherine (O’Brien).

Forever loved and dearly missed by her son and daughters, sons-in-law Patrick, Johnny, Domo, Paul and Ted and daughter-in-law Blaithín. Fondly remembered by her eighteen adored grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Missed by her sisters Eileen and Sr. Nuala, brothers Eugene and Anthony, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. Deeply regretted by her extended family, relatives, neighbours, a wide circle of friends and her fellow handmaids at Our Lady's Shrine, Knock.

Maureen is now reunited with her beloved Tommy, sisters Bridie and Frances and brother Michael John.

May her Gentle Soul Rest In Peace.

Reposing at St Brigid's Funeral Home, Brideswell (N37 EK88) this Tuesday evening (Feb10th) from 4 o'clock until 7 o'clock. Mass of the Resurrection in the Church of the Risen Christ, Ballybay, Kiltoom (N37 NY36) on Wednesday morning (Feb. 11th) at 11 o'clock. Burial afterwards in the local cemetery.

The Kenny Family would like to sincerely thank Dr Ignea, his team and the amazing nursing staff on St Coman’s Ward, Roscommon Hospital and the Roscommon Hospice for their excellent care of Maureen during her time there.
