9th November, 1935 – 20th February, 2026.
Joey Flanagan passed away peacefully, in his ninety-first year, at Roscommon University Hospital.
Predeceased by his parents Edward and Delia (née Higgins), brothers Jimmy and Paddy, sisters Maisie, Annie and Kathleen and grandchildren Gavin and April.
Deeply regretted by his dear wife Ena (née Carney), loving sons and daughters Noel, Mary (Anthony), Patty (Dermot), Seamus (Eilish), Damien (Kim), Majella (John), Niall (Sinead) and Norman. Missed by his sons-in-law, daughter-in-law, brothers-in-law and sister-in-law. Fondly remembered by his grandchildren, great-grandchildren (especially Joey’s recently born grandson Theo who he never met), nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.
Rest In Peace
Reposing at Brady’s Funeral Home, Elphin on Sunday (22nd Feb) from 4pm with Removal at 6pm to St. Catherine’s Church, Killina (H54 NY67). Requiem Mass on Monday at 11am. Joey will be laid to rest afterwards in Killina Cemetery.
