Jim McCabe died on Tuesday, 23rd June 2026 peacefully in the exceptional care of the nurses and staff of St Patrick’s hospital, Carrick on Shannon. Surrounded by his loving family, following an illness bravely borne.
Predeceased by his parents; Michael and Brigid McCabe, his infant daughter Karen and sisters; Rose, Bea, Janie and Annie.
Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his devoted wife Pauline, son; James, daughters; Aisling (Ratoath) and Tara (Carrick on Shannon), son in law Darrach Patterson, brothers; Mick (Rossan) and Packie (Cellbridge), sisters in law, brothers in law, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, neighbours and a large circle of friends.
Removal to St Mary’s Church Cloone (N41 V009) on Friday 26th June at 7pm. Funeral mass will take place in St Mary’s Church Cloone on Saturday 27th June at 12 noon followed by burial afterwards in the local cemetery.
