James Gallagher passed away on Monday, May 4th 2026. Peacefully after an illness bravely Borne.
Surrounded by his loving parents; James Gallagher (formerly of Gortnalug, Mohill, Co. Leitrim) and Brigid Gallagher, (née Smyth, formerly of Rathmore, Aughnacliffe, Co. Longford) and brother Eamonn (Carrick-On-Shannon, Co. Leitrim) sister Jeanna, niece Annabel and Mark. (Bromley, London).
Sadly missed by his Aunts, Uncles, cousins, extended family as well as a wide circle of friends, colleagues and neighbours.
James will be reposing at his home in Aughamana (F42 F603) on Wednesday, May 6th from 4-6pm.
Resomation to follow, at James’s request on Thursday May 7th at 11.30am in Pure Reflections Resomarium, Abbeylands, Navan, Co. Meath (C15 X95K).

The Gallagher family would like to thank the staff at St.Vincent’s hospital Dublin for their care and compassion over the past two years and most recently to the Roscommon palliative care team for all their efforts and kindness.
