Monday, 4th May peacefully at Lough Erril Private Nursing Home, surrounded by her adoring family.
Helena Celine (Lena) Canning (née Higgins), predeceased by her beloved husband Malachy.
Treasured mother of Brian (Tipperary), Teresa Murphy (Dublin), Gerard (Sligo), and Carmel Neary (Roscommon), sons-in-law; Seán and Paul, and daughters-in-law; Ann and Denise. A devoted grandmother to her 15 cherished grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Much loved sister of Sr. Loreto (Sisters of Charity, Dublin), Gerald Higgins (Limerick), Annie Joe Robinson (UK), and the late Leo, John Joe and Patricia.
Deeply missed by the extended Higgins and Canning families, her neighbours and friends.
Removal on Friday 8th May to St. Patrick’s Church, Mohill, for Funeral Mass at 12:30pm, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.
