Helen Vaughan (née Cruise) passed away on Saturday April 18th, 2026, (peacefully), at home surrounded by her loving family. Pre-deceased by her parents; William and Margaret, her brother Michael, her sister Mary McNamara and recently her husband Sean.
Loving mother to Thomas (Castlerea), Rosemary Becker (Munich), Mairead Lyons (Keash) and Denise Dunleavy(Castlerea). Helen will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered her son and daughters, her adored grandchildren; Leanne, Sean, Conor, Ryan, Amelia, Katie, Lucia, Matthew, Tom, James, Emma and Ethan. Also, by her brothers Thomas(Taughnarra), Joseph (Northampton) and Peter (Ballinlough), and her sister Rose Flaherty (Kilmaine), her daughter-in-law Olivia, her sons-in-law Jens, Aidan and Seamus, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, grandnephews, grandnieces, cousins, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at McDonagh’s Funeral Home (F45 V2Y4) Castlerea, on Tuesday evening from 6.00pm until 8:00pm with removal at 8:15 to St. Brigid’s Church, Cloonbonniffe (arriving approximately 9pm). Mass of the Resurrection on Wednesday at 12noon with burial afterwards in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Castlerea.
