Gertrude (Gertie) McKeon passed away on Tuesday, May 5th 2026. Peacefully, surrounded by her loving family at Sligo University Hospital.
Pre-deceased by her parents Michael and Gertie and brother-in-law Francis Beirne.
Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her heartbroken sister Mary Beirne (Clogher, Carrick-on-Shannon), brother Padraig (Boyle), nephew Alan, cousins, extended family, neighbours, carers and a large circle of friends.

Gertie will repose at The Heritage Centre, Chapel of Rest, Church Lane, Carrick-on-Shannon (N41 KP62) on Friday 8th May 2026 from 5 o’ clock until 7 o’ clock.
Mass of Christian burial in St. Mary’s Church Carrick-on-Shannon on Saturday 9th May at 2 o’clock, followed by burial in St. Mary’s cemetery.
