Elizabeth (Elsie) Owens passed away on Thursday, February 26th, 2026. Peacefully in the tender care of the nurses and staff of Roscommon Hospice, in her 97th year.
Predeceased by her parents Charles & Lena, her sister Marion and by her brothers Michael & James.
Deeply regretted by her loving sisters Rosalie, Helene (Scott) & Louise (Curley). Sadly missed by her sisters, nephews Gerard & Michael Curley and David Scott, her nieces Edel Neary & Antoinette Whitty, grandnephews, grandnieces and cousins. Deeply regretted by her wonderful neighbours and large circle of life long friends.

Reposing at McHugh's Funeral Home, Strokestown (F42 RK72), on Sunday, March 1st, from 4.30pm until 6pm, followed by removal to The Church of the Immaculate Conception, Strokestown. Funeral Mass on Monday, March 2nd, at 11am. Burial afterwards in Strokestown cemetery.
