Betty Murphy (née McDermott) died on Monday, May 11th, 2026 suddenly.
Predeceased by her beloved parents John and Frances and by her father-in-law James.
Sadly missed by her husband Joe, sisters Una, Bernie, Angela and Catherine, brothers Seamus, Anthony, Francis and Padraig. Remembered by her mother-in-law Bridie, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and a wide circle of good friends.
Reposing at Smyth’s Funeral Home, Roscommon (F42 NH27) on Wednesday evening from 5 o’clock until 7 o’clock, followed by removal to St Mary’s Church, Lanesboro (N39 TN99). Mass of the Resurrection on Thursday morning at 11 o’clock. Burial afterwards in Cloontuskert Cemetery.
