Bernadette “Detta” McWeeney (neé Connolly) passed away on Thursday, 30th April
Predeceased by her father Bernard his wife Mary, her sisters; Imelda and Philomena, brother Bernie Joe, and infant brother John Dermot.
Detta will be sadly missed and remembered with love by her family, loving husband Paddy, devoted daughter Carol, sons; Fergal (Marie), Padraic (Edel) and Donal (Marie), sisters; Rosemarie, Patti, JoJo, Teresa, Gloria and Ita, sister-in-law Margaret, and her grandchildren, nieces and nephews, friends and neighbours.
Reposing at her residence (N41 K462) Saturday 2 May 2026 from 3pm – 8 pm. The family will take a short break from 5.30 to 6pm.
Removal to St. Brigid’s Church Drumcong on Sunday morning 3 May for funeral Mass at 11:30 with burial afterwards in adjoining cemetery.
Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu to Friends of Sligo University Hospital.
