Bernadette (Bernie) O’Dowd (Née McWeeney) died suddenly on Saturday, 21st February 2026 at Sligo University Hospital and surrounded by her loving family.
Pre-deceased by her parents Anne Marie and Hugh, sister Marie, and brothers Josie and Hugh.
Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her heartbroken family. Loving husband Vincent, daughter Deirdre (Croghan), sons Joseph (Boston) and Conor (San Francisco), son-in-law David O’ Connor, Joseph’s partner Marianna, Conor’s partner Priya, adored granddaughter Rebecca, brothers John (Tuam) and Paul (England), sister Margaret O’Reilly (Drumlish) brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Removal to St. Mary’s Church, Carrick-on-Shannon on Thursday evening 26th February arriving at 6 o’ clock. Mass of Christian Burial on Friday 27th February at 12 o’clock, followed by cremation in Lakelands Crematorium, Cavan at 4 o’ clock.
