Amelda Burke died Peacefully on Wednesday, 11th February 2026, in the devoted care of the staff at Thomand Lodge Nursing Home, Ballymahon.
She will be very sadly missed by her brother Jay (Jim) (Ballyleague), sister Anna Begley (Galway) sister-in-law Marie, nieces, nephews, extended family, former nursing colleagues and friends. Amelda is predeceased by her parents and by her brother and sister.
Reposing at Smyth’s Funeral Home, Roscommon (F42 NH27), on Sunday from 3.30 o’c until 5 o’clock, followed by removal to St Patrick’s Church, Athleague.
Mass of the Resurrection on Monday morning at 11 o’c. Burial afterwards in Athleague Cemetery.
