Philomena Begley is back and ready to bring her legendary voice to A Day with the Stars in Roscommon this June 22nd. Known as the Queen of Irish Country, Philomena’s been lighting up stages for over 60 years, and she’s still going strong.
Fans can look forward to all the favourites like Blanket on the Ground and Queen of the Silver Dollar, sung with the warmth and heart that only Philomena can deliver.
This year, she’s been out on the road with Ray Lynam for their “We Go Together” tour. The two have been packing out venues across Ireland singing classics like My Elusive Dreams and Somewhere Between. The crowds are loving it.
And earlier this year, she even got a nod from President Michael D. Higgins at Áras an Uachtaráin — a special moment that shows just how much she means to the people of Ireland.
If you’ve never seen Philomena Begley live, Roscommon is your chance. She’s a national treasure and still one of the best voices on the country scene.
Other artists gracing the big stage at the Day with the Stars are Nathan Carter, Jimmy Buckley, Michael English, Mike Denver, Brendan Shine, Robert Mizzell, Patrick Feeney, Claudia Buckley, David James, Gerry Guthrie, Jack Keogh.
