Vincent Gillane died on Tuesday, April 7th, 2026. Peacefully at Oakwood Nursing Home, Roscommon.

Beloved son of the late Joe and Margaret and brother of the late Mary, Annie, Margaret and Joe. He will be very sadly missed by his nieces and their families, his close friends especially the Quigley family, his relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Smyth’s Funeral Home, Roscommon (F42 NH27) on Friday evening from 5 o’clock until 6.30 o’clock, followed by removal to St Patrick’s Church, Athleague. Mass of the Resurrection on Saturday morning at 11 o’clock. Removal afterwards (via Araghty) to Athleague Cemetery for burial.

Sad to read of Vincent's death spent many happy hours visiting when his parents alive and and Dad Joe throwing turf on the roasting big fire . R.I.P.
