Tommy (Thomas) Gately passed away on Thursday, 25th June 2026. Peacefully at his home surrounded by his devoted family.
Predeceased by his parents John and Margaret, his brothers Jimmy, Willie, Johnny and Paddy, and sisters Delia Mary Margaret, Kitty and Theresa
Sadly missed by his loving wife Nuala (nee Finneran), sons Declan (Funchinagh) and Enda (Taughboy) , daughters Caroline Holland (Funchinagh), and Mairead Moore (Creeher), daughters-in-law Martina and Marguerite, sons-in-law Mike and Peter, his grandchildren Ava, Lisa, Leah, Rachel, Laura, Sadie, Jane, T.J., and Páidí, his sister Eileen O’Connor (Rahara), brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and many friends.
May he Rest in Peace.
Reposing at Dempsey’s funeral home, Ballyforan, H53 HE63, on Sunday evening from 5pm to 8pm. Removal from his home on Monday morning to the church of Christ the Good Shepard, Four Roads for Funeral Mass at 11.30am. Burial afterwards in Tisrara cemetery.
Family flowers only please, donations if desired to the Roscommon Pallative Care Team. House Private please.
