Grange, Four Mile House, County Roscommon (and formerly of Drumlahard, Drumboylan, County Roscommon)

Thomas (Tom) Moran passed away on July 31st, 2025 (peacefully, following a sudden illness) surrounded by his family, in the devoted care of the staff of Portiuncula University Hospital, Ballinasloe, County Galway.

Treasured husband of Bridget (Bridie) nee Finnerty, much-loved father of Michael (New York), Ann-Marie (Mullingar) and Ciaran (Grange), father-in-law of Noel Heduan and Benjamin Gillespie, adored grandfather of Edith and Méabh and cherished brother of Charles (& Rita) (Templeogue) and Michael (Drumlahard).

Pre-deceased by his parents; Charles and Annie-Jane (nee Molloy), and his infant brother, John Joseph.

Forever loved and greatly missed by his heartbroken wife, children, sons-in-law, grandchildren, brothers, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, cousins, nephews, niece, nephews-in-law, nieces-in-law, relatives, neighbours and many friends.

May Tom Rest In Peace

Reposing in Cuan Mhuire Oratory, adjacent to the Four Mile House Community Centre (F42 T659), on Saturday, August 2nd from 3:00 p.m. until 5:30 p.m.
Removal from his home in Grange (F42 DK23) on Monday, August 4th, at 11:15 a.m. to St. Brigid's Church, Four Mile House (F42 AY92), to arrive for Funeral Mass at 12:00 noon.
Burial afterwards in St Coman’s Cemetery, Roscommon Town, alongside his beloved uncle and aunt, Joe and Josephine Moran.

House strictly private (except for family and close friends).

No flowers please.

Tom’s family wish to express their most sincere gratitude to the paramedics of the National Ambulance Service and the staff of Portiuncula University Hospital, especially the medical teams of the Emergency Department, Intensive Care Unit and Dunlo Ward, and the palliative & pastoral care teams. Your kindness and care for Tom in his final days will never be forgotten.
