Thomas Smyth passed away on Thursday, January 22nd 2026. Peacefully, in his 91st year, after an illness borne with great dignity in the excellent care of the doctors, nurses and staff of the Midland Regional Hospital, Mullingar.
Predeceased by his adored wife Ellen (Elsie), granddaughter Paula and his brothers and sisters gone before him.
Greatly missed by his children Marie, Anthony, Teresa and Margaret, and his cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren; by his brother Denis, sisters Mary and Nora, nieces, nephews, relatives, kind neighbours and friends. May Tommy Joe Rest In Peace.
Funeral Mass on Monday, January 26th at 12 noon in St Michael's Church, Castlepollard, with burial afterwards in St Michael's Cemetery. House private at all times. Family flowers only, please; donations, if so desired, to the Irish Hospice Foundation c/o Cassidy's Funeral Directors, Castlepollard, or a member of the family.
