Sr. Eileen (Lucy) McGarry passed away on 22nd November 2025.
Peacefully, in the tender care of the doctors, nurses and care staff in Laurel Lodge Nursing Home.
Predeceased by her parents James and Mae McGarry, sister Gertrude and brothers; Mícheál and John Joe.
Lovingly remembered by her sister Sr. Maura Bríd, sister- in -law Anne, nephews Fiachra and Shane, niece Muireann, grandnephew Oscar, grandnieces Aoife and Úna, relatives, friends, teaching colleagues and the Sisters of Mercy Western Branch.

Reposing in Laurel Lodge Nursing Home Chapel (N39 XE92) on Monday 24th November from 3.30pm concluding with prayers at 5.00pm.
Removal from Convent of Mercy, St Joseph’s Road, Longford on Tuesday 25th November to arrive at St Mel’s Cathedral, for Mass of the Resurrection at 11.00am. Burial afterwards in St. Brigid’s Cemetery, Ardagh. Longford.
