Sonny died on Friday, June 6th, (peacefully) at home surrounded by his loving family.
Predeceased by his parents; Michael and Julie-Ann, and his brothers; Paddy and Micheal. Loving husband of Mary and father to; Nuala McNeely (London), Carmel Rogers (London), Catherine Beacroft (Essex), and Tish Garvey (London).
Adored by his wife, his daughters and his adored grandchildren ; Christopher, Sarah, Rosie, Emma, Nick, Holly, Jack, Jake, Georgie, and Josh. Sadly missed by his great-grandchildren; Liliella, Evie, Harper, Mia, Maddy, and Cian. Deeeply regretted by his brother Brian (London), and his sisters; Veronica Dowling (Wicklow), Kathleen Connelly (Castlerea), and Mary Bridget Hamilton (London). Remembered by his sons-in-law; Joe, Steve, George, and Pat. Brothers-in-law; John, Michael, and Roy, sister-in-law Margaret O’Connor, extended family, neighbours, and friends.

Reposing at McDonagh’s Funeral Home, Castlerea Tuesday evening from 6 o’clock until 7 o’clock. Funeral arriving at St. Patrick’s Church, Castlerea, on Wednesday morning for Mass of the Resurrection at 11 o’clock, followed by cremation at Mount Jerome Crematorium, Dublin. The funeral Mass can be viewed on St. Patrick’s Church webcam. Donations, if desired, to Roscommon Palliative Care online or c/o McDonagh Funeral Directors Castlerea.
