Sean Farrell passed away on 16th March 2026, peacefully, surrounded by his loving family after a short illness, in the care of the kind staff of the University Hospital Galway (UHG).
Predeceased by his mother Rita and brother-in-law Andrew.
Sadly missed and eternally remembered by his partner Mary and his children Ann and Sean, by his devoted father John, brother David and sisters; Mary, Kathleen, Audrey, Alma, Hazel, and Carol.
Fondly remembered & deeply missed by his sister-in-law Rena, brothers-in-law Richard, Fergus, Austin, Patrick and Enda and by his nieces and nephews; Matthew, Samuel, Peter, Emma, Ciara, David, John, Grace, Anna, Lucy, Daniel, Ellen, Sadie, Jamie and Dylan and grand-nephew Charlie, aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives, neighbours and his many good friends across the country.

Reposing at Gaynor’s Funeral Home, The Square, Castlerea (F45 HH24) on Thursday evening from 5pm to 7pm. Funeral arriving at St. Patrick’s Church, Castlerea, for Mass of the Resurrection at 11am Friday. Burial afterwards in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
Sean’s funeral Mass will be live-streamed on St. Patrick’s Church webcam. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu, to the Irish Cancer Society. House is STRICTLY PRIVATE.
