Rita Coffey died on Wednesday, 29th October 2025; unexpectedly but peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, in the kind and loving care of the staff at the Beacon Hospital.

Pre-deceased by her parents; John Joe and Maureen and brothers; Paddy and John.

Loving sister of Lillian Byrne (Dublin) and Damien (Carrick-on-Shannon), sister-in-law to Jackie, Auriol, Ann and the late Robert, cherished cousin to Marie, Pauline and John Grenham, adored aunt to all her nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.

Sadly missed and always remembered with love and gratitude by her family, wide circle of friends, neighbours and her former Bank of Ireland colleagues.

Rita will repose at Smyth's Funeral Home, Roscommon (F42 NH27) from 3 o’clock until 5 o’clock on Sunday afternoon (2nd November).  Requiem Mass will take place in St John’s Church, Lecarrow (F42 P840) at 11 o’clock on Monday morning (3rd November) followed by burial in St Coman's Cemetery Roscommon.
