Peter (Pee) McHugh passed away on Friday 21st November 2025. Unexpectedly but peacefully at his residence, in his 92nd year.
Predeceased by his loving wife; Breda, his parents; Michael and Ellen McHugh, his brother; Sean; sisters; Lizzie (Quinn), Maggie (Cunningham) and Moira (Tiernan).
Sadly missed by his loving children; Angela Cunningham (Eamonn), Michael (Jennifer), Deirdre McNulty (Ciarán), Derek (Karen), Enda (Rachelle) and Helen Nic Aodha (Andrea Palandri). Remembered by his twenty three adored grandchildren; Peter, Maria, Michael, Isobel, Frank, Adrienne, Edwina, Mark, Heidi, Robyn, Sonny, Cian, Noah, Ultán, Mischa, Muireann, Turlough, Síomha, Kody, Lily, Bríd, Sadhbh and Eorann.
Fondly remembered by his beloved nieces, nephews and cousins. Deeply regretted by his brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, many relatives, neighbours, his large circle of friends. Missed by his wonderful carers who looked after him so well at home.
Pee’s remains will repose in St Mary’s Church Cloone on Monday 24th November, from 6.00pm to 8.00pm, followed by prayers at 8.15pm.
Mass of the Resurrection in St. Mary’s Church, Cloone on Tuesday, 25th November 2025 at 12 noon, followed by burial afterwards in Cloone new cemetery.
