Paddy Hannon passed away on 16th March 2026. Peacefully, after a short illness courageously borne, surrounded by his loving family at Galway University Hospital.
Cherished son of Maura and the late Martin, loving brother of Ursula, Clare, Damien and Audrey. Adored uncle of Aaron, Caitlin, Ryan, Jack, Scott and Alex.
Deeply mourned by his sister-in-law Siobhan, brothers-in-law; Andrew O`Connor and Alan Roberts, his uncles; James, Tony and Aiden, aunts; Rosaline, Pauline, Ann and Moira. Sadly missed by all his cousins.
Fondly remembered by his cherished circle of loyal friends.
May Paddy rest in peace.
Reposing at Smyth`s Funeral Home, Roscommon Town (F42 NH27), on Wednesday evening, 18th March from 5 o’c until 7 o’c.
Funeral Mass will take place on Thursday morning at 11 o'clock in The Sacred Heart Church, Roscommon. Followed by burial at St Coman`s Cemetery.

The Hannon family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to all their relatives, neighbours and friends for their kindness at this time. They would also like to acknowledge the incredible care shown both to Paddy and to them by the wonderful team in St Gerard’s Ward and The High Dependency Unit at Galway University Hospital.
Owing to Paddy’s death, Hannon’s Hotel, Roscommon will close on Thursday until 2 o’c.
