Owen Johnston passed away on Friday, January 9th, 2026. Peacefully in the loving care of the nurses and staff at Roscommon Hospice, following a short illness bravely borne with great courage and determination.
Pre-deceased by his parents Mary and Owen , brother-in-law Ian and by his father-in-law P.J.
Sadly missed by his loving wife Rosemary (née Killian), sisters Barbara and Colette, brothers Pat, David, Maurice and Mark. Remembered by his mother-in-law Rita, sisters-in-law Jane, Anne, Eileen, Elaine, Gráinne, Carol and Clodagh, brothers-in-law Phil, Thomas, Michael, Joe and Michael. Deeply regretted by his nieces , nephews, relatives, many good friends, neighbours and work colleagues at ABP Clones.

Reposing at Glennon’s Funeral Home, Ballinalee Road, Longford (N39 EC81) on Sunday 11th January from 2.00pm concluding with prayers at 5.00pm. Mass of the Resurrection in St. Patrick’s Church, Killashee on Monday 12th January at 12.00noon, interment afterwards in Ballinakill cemetery.
