Michael Raftery passed away on Wednesday, July 15th, 2026. Peacefully in the exceptional care of the staff at Sacred Heart Home, Roscommon .
Fondly remembered and sadly missed by his loving wife Teresa, his children Dominick, Margaret, Michael and Ann, daughters-in-law Norma and Dympna, sons-in-law Stephen and Shane, his cherished grandchildren Jack, Leo, Emily, Amelia, Sean and Rían and his brothers James, Donal, Dominick and Dermott, sisters Ann, Joan, Eileen and Carol, in-laws, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours, friends and his carers.
May Michael's gentle soul rest in eternal peace.
Reposing at Smyth’s Funeral Home, Roscommon (F42 NH27) on Friday, 17th July from 4pm until 6pm. Removal on Saturday afternoon to the Sacred Heart Church, Roscommon (F42 XT96) arriving for Mass of the Resurrection at 1pm. Burial afterwards in St Coman’s Cemetery (F42 CH64).
Family flowers only please. Donations if desired to Sacred Heart Home.
