Maureen Maguire passed away on Sunday, 11th January 2026. Suddenly but peacefully in the loving care of her family, aged 42 years.
Beloved mother to Eva and Jarlath. Deeply regretted by her parents; Mary and Pat Maguire, brothers; Charles, Gerry, Damien and Aidan and her partner Aidan Scanlon. Fondly remembered by her aunts; Anne Conlon, Margaret Higgins, Patricia Noone and Mary Handy (Clara), uncle Oliver Maguire (Lanesboro). Sadly missed by her sisters-in-law; Edel and Nadia, Eva’s father John Murphy. Deeply regretted by her cousins, nieces and nephews; Amelia, Cian, Patrick, Nova and Sophie, her many friends, neighbours and work colleagues in Tesco Roscommon.
Predeceased by her grandparents; Charlie & Maureen Conlon and Eugene & Margaret Maguire.
Reposing at Smyth’s Funeral Home, Roscommon (F42 NH27) on Thursday evening from 4.30 o’c until 7 o’clock (with a comfort break at 5.30 o’c). Removal to St Patrick’s Church, Clooneycolgan (F42 NR28) on Friday morning, arriving for Mass of the Resurrection at 11.30 o’clock. Burial afterwards in Oran Cemetery.

Maureen’s family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to all her wonderful relatives, neighbours, friends and work colleagues for the incredible outpouring of kindness and offers of support to them since the news of her unexpected passing broke on Sunday.
