Mary (May) Guckian
Ringsend, Dublin 4, formerly of Kiltoghert, Carrick-on-Shannon, Co. Leitrim, following a long illness.
Mary (May) Guckian died on Saturday, 27th September, peacefully in the exceptional care of the staff of Our Lady's Hospice, Harolds Cross, to whom much thanks is offered.
Predeceased by her parents, Pauline and Patrick, her sister Pauline and her brother-in-law, Anthony.
Sadly missed by her partner, Victor Feldman, her sisters; Ann (Walkinstown), Patricia (Carrick-on-Shannon) and Christina (Dromahair), her brothers; Sean and Willie, sister-in-law Maura, brothers-in-law Pat and Michael, her aunt Ena O'Rourke, uncle Paul Corcoran, nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and nephews, cousins, many friends and members of the Rathmines Writers Group, of which Mary was a founding member.
As Mary has chosen to donate her body to medical research, no funeral will be held at this time.
A mass to remember Mary will be held in St. Patrick's Church, Gowel (N41HX83) on Sunday October 5th at 10.15 a.m. Afterwards, from 11 a.m., all are welcome to join Mary's family in Kiltoghert Community Centre (N41HC95) to have a cup of tea and reflect on her life.
Details of a memorial service in Dublin will follow.
