Mary Lawless (née Delaney) passed away on Monday, June 22nd, 2026. Peacefully, in the devoted care of the staff at Sonas Nursing Home, Cloverhill.
Beloved wife of the late Tommie and sister of the late Margaret, Ann and Dorothy.
Much loved mother to Mattie, John, Mark and Maura. Sadly missed by her family, brothers P.J., Denis and Joseph, sisters Concepta and Lily. Remembered by her daughters-in-law Lorena, Anne and Grainne and son-in-law Colm. Adored by her grandchildren Sarah, Ciarán, Ava, Caoimhe, Cayla, Shane, Taylor, Andrea, Mella, Hazel, Cian and Abbie. Deeply regretted by her brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law. nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and many good friends.
May Mary rest in peace.
Reposing at Smyth’s Funeral Home, Roscommon F42 NH27, on Wednesday evening from 4.30 o’c until 6.30 o’c followed by removal to St Patrick’s Church, Clooneycolgan F42 NR28. Mass of the Resurrection on Thursday at 11.30am. Burial afterwards in Oran Cemetery. For those wishing to offer their sympathies, we suggest using the online condolence link below. Mary’s family would like to acknowledge the kindness and care shown to her and to them by the staff at Sonas, Cloverhill during Mary’s time in their care and also convey their deep appreciation to everyone for their support at this time.
