Margaret Hoare (née Kane) died on Monday, December 8th , 2025. Peacefully, at her residence, surrounded by her loving family.
Predeceased by her beloved husband Mick, her grandson Kevin, her parents; Pat Kane and Molly (Comiskey), and her siblings; Michael, Mary, Annie, Pat and Catherine (at infancy) Kane, John, Seamus, Peter and Francie Comiskey.
Much-loved mother to Kitty (Manorhamilton), Pat (Castlebar), Michael (Doonbeg), Marie (Mullingar), Paul, Teresa, Declan, Dervilla, Shane, and Sinéad (Roscommon). Mother-in-law to Gerry Hickey, Bernie Morrissey, Kevin Kelly, Úna Ní Chuinn, Anthony McCormack, Anne Hardiman, Noel Beattie, Sharon Mulryan and John Flanagan.
Dearly missed by her 23 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Deeply regretted by her sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours, friends and carers.
Reposing at Smyth’s Funeral Home, Roscommon (F42 NH27) on Tuesday evening (Dec. 9th) from 4.30 o’clock until 6.30 o’clock, followed by removal to the Sacred Heart Church, Roscommon. Mass of the Resurrection on Wednesday (Dec. 10th) at 11 o’c. Burial afterwards in St Coman’s Cemetery.
Family flowers only please, donations if desired to Roscommon Palliative Care.
