Josie (Josephine) Lunt (née Feeney) passed away on Tuesday, January 27th, 2026. Peacefully, at Portiuncula University Hospital, Ballinasloe.
Beloved wife of the late Gerry and mother of the late baby Mary.
Forever missed by her loving family; Joan, Kevin and Fiona, brother Paddy, sons-in-law Pat Lynch and Padraig Duncan and daughter-in-law Agnes. Remembered by her grandchildren Tara, Rory, James and Killian. Deeply regretted by her sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, extended family and a wide circle of friends.
May Josie rest in peace.
Reposing at Smyth’s Funeral Home, Roscommon (F42 NH27) on Thursday evening from 4 o’c until 6 o’c. Removal from her home on Friday morning at 10.30 o’c arriving to the Sacred Heart Church, Roscommon for Mass of the Resurrection at 11 o’c. Burial afterwards in St Coman’s Cemetery.

The Lunt family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to all their relatives, neighbours, and friends for the kindness and offers of support to them at this time. They would also like to acknowledge the wonderful care given to Josie by the doctors, nurses and staff of Portiuncula University Hospital, Roscommon University Hospital and the Sacred Heart Home, Roscommon during her time there.
