Johnny Macken passed away peacefully on Friday, 12th December 2025 at Cavan General Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.
Predeceased by his son, Jimmy; daughter, Paula (in infancy); parents, Jimmy and Cecilia; brother, Jimmy; sister, Doris; sister-in-law, Marie; brother-in-law, Tommy; and nephew, Conor.
Sadly and forever missed by his loving wife, Mona,; daughter, Fiona (Michael); son, John (Ciara); adoring grandchildren, Aoibhínn, James, Saoirse and Rhia. Deeply missed by his brothers, Benny and Eddie; sisters-in-law, Sheila, Kathi and Susanne; brother-in-law, Ken; nephews, nieces, relatives and a wide circle of friends and neighbours.

Reposing at Smith’s Funeral home Barrack Street, Granard, Co. Longford (N39AX97), on Sunday 14th from 3pm to 6pm.
Removal on Monday 15th to St. Mary’s Church, Granard, for Funeral Mass at 12 noon followed by Christian burial in the Granardkill Cemetery.
