John Burns passed away on Tuesday 17th March 2026, peacefully surrounded by his family in the loving care of the staff at Our Lady's Manor, Edgeworthstown, Co. Longford.
Predeceased by his brothers; Willie, Charlie, Terry, Joe, Jimmy and Tommy and his niece Kathleen.
Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his sister Christine (New York), sisters in law Brigie, Teresa and Pat, Nephews; Charlie and Tommy, Liam and Tom, Nieces Mary, Catherine, Josie and Patricia and Eileen, his adored grand nieces and grandnephews, great friends and neighbours.

Reposing at Our Lady's Manor, Edgeworthstown (N39 VR04) Thurs 19th March from 5pm with prayers at 6.45pm. Removal to the Church Of The Holy Family, Loch Gowna (H12FT54) arriving for 8pm. His Funeral Mass will take place on Fri 20th March at 11am followed by burial in Granardkille New Cemetery, Granardkille, Granard, Co. Longford.
