Joe (Joseph) Carroll died on Wednesday, 19th November 2025, at the age of 91, peacefully at his home surrounded by his family.

Predeceased by his parents; Patrick and Jane Ellen, baby son Colm, brother Tom, sisters; Sr. Veronica (Mary), Bridget and Angela

He will be sadly missed by his loving wife Mary, Daughters; Anne Marie, Martina, and Carmel, sons-in-law; Paddy Campbell, and David Kenny, his grandchildren; Darren, Oisin, Aoife, Eoin, Alanna, Melissa, Patrick, Ciara, Adam, and Joe, great-grandchildren; Savannah, Sophia, Cara, Mia and Noah, his sister Margaret Hewitt (Dunshaughlin Co. Meath), sister-in-law Ann Donoghue (Ballinasloe), nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and many friends.

May he Rest in Peace.

Reposing at Dempsey’s funeral home, Ballyforan on Friday evening from 5.30pm to 7.30pm. Removal from his home on Saturday morning to the church of Christ the Good Shepard, Four Roads for Funeral Mass at 11.30am. Burial afterwards in Tisrara cemetery.

I’m deeply sorry for the family for your loss. I met Joe and Mary at his home many years ago for the wedding of his daughter Carmel to David Kenny. What a wonderful and gracious man he was to me. I enjoyed talking with him during the short time I was there. Rest in Peace Joe.
