James Kearney

Longford and formerly of Granard and Viewmount House.

James Kearney passed away peacefully after a short illness at the Midlands Regional Hospital Mullingar on Friday, 12th December 2025.

Pre-deceased by his parents, Eugene and Rose Ann; sister, Evelyn; and by his brother, Padraig.

Sadly missed and remembered with love by his family: his heartbroken wife, Beryl; sister, Margaret; brothers, Michael, Eugene and Hugh; sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and a large circle of friends.

May he rest in peace .

Reposing at Glennon’s Funeral Home, Ballinalee road (N39 EC81) on Monday 15th December from 6.00pm concluding with prayers at 8.00pm . Mass of the Resurrection in St. Mary’s Church, Granard on Tuesday 16th December at 11.00am. Interment afterwards in Granardkill cemetery.

Family flowers only please. Donations, if desired, to the Patient Comfort Fund at the Midlands Regional Hospital Mullingar.

We were so sad to hear about the death of James. He was a true gentleman . We have such fond memories of staying at Viewmount, where he and Beryl made us so welcome over the years . James will be very sadly missed. We send all our love to Beryl, and God bless you James - may you rest in peace xx
