Gerry McKenna passed away on Wednesday, December 10th, 2025. Peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family.
Pre-deceased by his mother Cathy, father Francis, his brothers Patrick, Francie and Michael, sisters Maryrose, Sadie and Ellie Jo and granddaughter Katelyn.
Sadly missed by his loving wife Veronica, sons and daughters, Marie Delaney (Kilkenny), Gerard (Westport), Sadie (Longford Town), Fiona (Ballinamuck), Deirdre McEvoy (Ballinamuck), Veronica Donohoe (Moyne), and Damien (Ballinamuck). Remembered by his sons-in-law John, Benny and Eamonn, daughters-in-law Mary and Sharon. Deeply regretted by his sisters Kathleen Richards (London) and Teresa O’Neill (New York). Adored by his grandchildren Stephen, Eoin, Chloe, Ciara (Delaney), Katie, Cáelán (McKenna), Aaron, Rian (McKenna), Shaun (Donnelly), Dawn, Elischa (McKenna), Rory, Rachael, Michael, Sarah, Holly (McEvoy), Tara (Donohue), Lara, Ava, Paidi (McKenna) and great-grandchildren Sean and Harrison. Fondly remembered by his sister-in-law Agnes McKenna (Ballinamuck), brother-in-law Peter Richards (London), nieces, nephews, extended relatives, good neighbours and friends.

Reposing at his home in Fardromin, Ballinamuck, N39 K8Y7 on Friday 12th December from 4 o’clock concluding with prayers at 7 o’clock
As access is limited to the house, a shuttle bus service will run from The 98 Bar, Ballinamuck (Eircode N39 CP04).
People of low mobility are welcome to travel directly to the family home.

Mass of the Resurrection on Saturday December 13th 11am in St Patrick’s Church, Ballinamuck, followed by interment in Ballinamuck new cemetery.
