Thursday, 16th July, 2026, peacefully in the presence of his loving wife Maura and family. In the excellent care of the staff at Portiuncula University Hospital, Ballinasloe.
Gerry Galvin, predeceased by his parents; George and Mary Kate, brothers; Tom, Stephen and Paddy, sisters; Maureen, Mona, Bridie and Ita.
Sadly missed by his heartbroken and loyal wife Maura, brothers; Austin (Ennis) and George (Home), sisters; Betty Dolan (Longford), Kitty Hourigan (London) , Anne Brehony (Sandfield) and Dympna Higgins (Castlerea), brothers-in -law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.
Reposing at Hamrock's Funeral Home, Athleague (F42CC92) on this Sunday, 19th July from 6pm to 8pm. Removal from his residence on Monday, 20th July to The Church of the Assumption, Castlecoote (F42DX25) arriving for Funeral Mass at 11.30am. Burial will take place afterwards in Athleague Cemetery. Gerry's wife and family would like to acknowledge the excellent care and kindness given to Gerry in Roscommon University Hospital, Portiuncula University Hospital and University Hospital, Galway and are very grateful for your help and support at this difficult time.
