Sklemensdale, Wigan, England formerly of Killenastra, Ardagh, Co. Longford.
Gerard (Gerry) Murray passed away on June 12th, peacefully after a long illness bravely borne, surrounded by his heartbroken family, in Queenscourt Hospice, Southport.
Predeceased by his parents, John Joe and Rosie, and infant brother, Brendan.
Sadly missed and always remembered with love by his family, daughter Danielle and her partner Ben, son Kieran and his partner Teresa, their mother, Mary, his adored grandchildren; Rose and Sophia, brothers; Seamus (Paula) Ardagh, and Sean (Ann) Killoe, sister; Frances (Eddie) Cellbridge, his dear aunt; Ann, nephews, nieces, grand-nephew, grand-niece, cousins, relatives, and his wonderful neighbours and friends.
God saw the road was getting rough,
The hill was hard to climb,
He gently closed your weary eyes,
And whispered “Peace be thine”.
Gerry, may your Gentle Soul Rest in Peace.
Gerry will repose in Connell's Funeral Home, Church St, Longford N39 KN66 on Thursday 26th from 5 o'clock concluding with prayrers at 8pm.
Removal from the family home in Ardagh on Friday, 27th to arrive to St. Brigid's Church, Ardagh, N39 EN27 for Funeral Mass at 11 o'clock. Following Mass, Gerry will be laid to rest in the family plot in the adjoining Cemetery.
