Denise Simms (née O’Boyle) passed away on Friday, 12th September 2025. Peacefully, surrounded by her family, in the devoted care of the staff at the Roscommon Hospice.
Predeceased by her parents Nell and Denis, by her sister Jacinta and brother Denis Jnr.
Much loved wife of Robert and adored mum to Shane, Liam, Niamh and Robert. Forever missed by her family, sisters Dolores, Margaret and Deirdre and brother Pat. Adored by her grandchildren Charlie, Harry, Sophie, Kayden, Kaiya, Bobby and Penny. Deeply regretted by her daughters-in-law, partners, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Smyth’s Funeral home, Roscommon (F42 NH27) on Monday evening from 4.30 o’clock until 6.30 o’clock, followed by removal to the Sacred Heart Church, Roscommon. Mass of the Resurrection on Tuesday morning at 11 o’clock. Burial afterwards in St. Coman’s Cemetery, Roscommon.
Family flowers only. Donations if desired to The Roscommon Hospice.
