Agnes Gilligan died on Monday, July 28th, 2025, following a brief illness, at University Hospital Galway.
Predeceased by her beloved husband Leo (formerly of Manorhamilton, Co. Leitrim), her daughter Orla, her grandson Noah and her sister Teresa.
A devoted and loving mother to Aidan, Siobhán, Margaret, Una, Martin, Ann and Rory. Grandmother to Orla, Alex, Nicole, Daniella, Leo, Chloe, Katie, Henry, Leo, Ava, Charlie, and Milo. Ddeeply missed by her children and grandchildren, daughters-in-law; Janice and Karen, sons-in-law; Joe, Nick, Diarmaid and Gareth. Deeply regretted by her sisters; Margaret, Anne and Kathleen, brothers-in-law, sisters in law and by the extended Feeney and Gilligan families.
Reposing at the O’Flaherty Funeral Parlour, Munster Avenue (H91V1K8) Wednesday, July 30th from 5.00 p.m. with Removal at 6,30 p.m. to Galway Cathedral. Requiem Mass Thursday morning, July 31st at 11 a.m. Following Mass, she will be laid to rest with Leo in Rahoon cemetery.

Parking and entrance to the funeral parlour: Please approach the funeral parlour entrance on foot from Fr. Burke Park. Pedestrian Zone on Upper Dominick Street and William Street West from 6.00 p.m. Street parking on Fr. Griffin Road, The Claddagh, Sea Road, Henry Street, Scarce on Munster Avenue. Car Parks, Claddagh Church, Mill Street (beside Garda Station).
