International rugby returning to Dubarry Park

In 2016, Dubarry Park in Athlone ceased hosting Ireland’s under 20 Six Nations rugby home games. The games were relocated to Donnybrook.

It’s expected that Ireland’s matches will now be moved out of the Dublin venue in forthcoming seasons.

Buccaneers P.R.O Michael Silke is hopeful that the under-20 internationals will now return to Dubarry Park.

No Buccaneers players will be lining out for Ireland in the international club game between Ireland and Scotland on Friday night.

International rugby is returning to Athlone when The Ireland Clubs versus  Scotland Clubs international fixture will take place in Dubarry Park with a 7.30pm kick off.

Buccaneers P.R.O Mike Silke explains more about the fixture which is coming to the midlands for the first time.
