Martin Coyle (Longford)

  • Captained Longford back in 2014 when the won the Lory Meagher Cup against Fermanagh.

  • Half forward can also play midfield.
  • Playing county the last 12 years
  • Plays football for Mostrim.

I think he’s going to be very good this year because he’s got a lot of experience on his side can play in a number of positions never stops running the whole game a player Longford could always rely on. He was captain of the Longford side that won the Lory Meagher back in 2014. Scores points from all over the field.

Robbie Fallon (Roscommon)

  • Club: Athleague.
  • Free taker for Roscommon
  • Half forward/full forward
  • Scored the winner for Roscommon to win the Connacht intermediate hurling title against Mayo back in 2013.

Plays football for Athleague. Robbie takes the frees for Roscommon. He’s been playing for the Rossies a few years now. He’s a player to look out for because his frees are crucial for Roscommon and he’s a good man to get a few from play too.

Colm Moreton(Leitrim)

  • Picked in the Lory Meagher team last year in the half forward line.
  • Plays half forward
  • Club: Leitrim Gaels
  • Played in the win against Lancashire in 2015 in the Lory Meagher.

Expect good things from Colm this year as he will look to build on his individual achievements last year will no doubt be a key figure for Leitrim in the league and Championship

Johnny Coyne (Roscommon)

  • Club: Four Roads
  • Corner forward

He’s a player to look out for as he scored a lot of important goals for Roscommon down the years. He’s known as a super sub for scoring 2-3 against Mayo in 2015. Lined out the last day in the defeat to Wicklow

Joey O’Brien (Longford)

  • Club: Clonguish
  • Scored all the points for Clonguish in the county final against Wolfe Tones few years back.
  • Dual player for the club
  • Captained Longford in 2013.

A good man from placed balls for Longford and is usually deadly accurate. He’s one of the best hurlers in Longford the past few years. Captained Longford back in 2013. A man that will play a big part in Longford bid for promotion in this years league
