St. Brigids GAA Club notes February 24
We would like to thank everyone that attended our annual lunch and medal presentation on Sunday last in the Hodson Bay Hotel.
As always the food and service was excellent, a big thanks to the Hodson Bay Hotel for kindly hosting and sponsoring this event and thank you to all their staff for their hospitality.
Also we had a camp last Thursday as one of our Lip Sync fundraisers and this was a huge success.
Thanks to all the children that came along and enjoyed a fun filled day with loads of activities. Well done to all that organised and ran the camp.
Cash 4 Clobber
Doing your spring clear out? why not donate your unwanted bags of clothes, bed linen, curtains, paired shoes, bags and belts to St. Brigid’s cash for clobber.
Bags can be dropped to the clubhouse every week night from 630-9pm.
Note: duvets, pillows and cushions are not accepted for hygiene reasons.
Scrap Metal Collection
St. Brigid’s are also running a scrap metal collection with a skip position in our clubhouse carpark for all your unwanted, unused scrap metal.
Skip is in position and ready for metal. If you have items that are too big to bring yourself please contact Tommy on (086) 449 3871 and we will arrange collection.
Pallets wanted. Got any unused pallets in good condition (only). Pallet collection starting in the club as a fund raiser. Check your workplace and your neighbours garden and sheds also. Drop off point at the clubhouse.
St. Patrick’s Day Fun Run
Fun run in the club on Paddy’s day at 3pm. Fancy dress optional. Refreshments served after. More details to follow.
St. Brigid’s Fashion Show
Once again the lovely ladies and gents of St. Brigid’s will strut their stuff on the catwalk for our fashion show on Thursday 19th March.
Showcasing from local shops and with trade stands there on the night it promises to be a night not to be missed.
Tickets €15 available from all executive members or in the Hodson Bay Hotel or contact Sissy on 086 832 8426.
St. Brigid’s registration is now due for all players, coaches, and committee members. Registration is €60 for u18’s, €80 for adult players and €50 for adult members.
It is essential that all players are registered in order to participate in training and in club games. We would encourage all members to finalize membership as soon as possible, as coaches want to ensure that players are eligible to train.
