Roscommon’s Super-8 Opponents Become Clearer

Roscommon will begin their Super-8s campaign with a home tie against Cavan or Tyrone and wrap things up against Cork or Laois.

The draw for round four of the qualifiers took place this morning with Ulster runners-up Cavan begin paired with Tyrone. The winners of this tie will open against Roscommon on July 13 or 14.

Munster runners-up Cork will face Laois the winner of which will be Roscommon’s final Super-8’s opponent on August third or fourth.


Anthony Cunningham’s men will face All-Ireland champions Dublin in Croke Park on July 20th or 21st, which will be a double header with the other game in group two.

Fixtures details for round four of the qualifiers will be announced later today with the games scheduled for this Saturday or Sunday.

While one of the Connacht kingpins will not make the Super-8’s as Galway and Mayo will go head to head in round four of the qualifiers.

Meath are to meet Clare to fill the other empty slot in the 2019 Super-8s.
