Roscommon got their LIDL Ladies national football league campaign off to a winning start with a 4-10 to 2-6 win over Wicklow.
A Katie Daly brace and a goal from Laura Fleming saw Roscommon lead 3-5 to 2-4 at half-time, before comfortably manging 1-5 in the second-half to win by 10 points.
Roscommon travel to Kildare next week for round of their division three campaign.
Meanwhile Longford lost out to Kildare by a stoppage time goal, 3-10 to 2-10 in Edgesworthtown.
Kildare led 2-6 to four points at half-time, but second-half goals from Sarah Shannon and Aisling Greene saw Longford level the score on 59 minutes.
Longford’s Michelle Farrell was sent-off in the final stages, before Kildare found the winning score in stoppage time.
