Galway coasted to a second Connacht under-20 championship in a row as they ran in four goals against Roscommon in Tuam Stadium.
Tomo Culhane, Cian Monaghan, Jonathan McGrath and Ryan Monaghan all found the Roscommon net as Galway ran out 4-13 to five point winners.
Conditions were not conductive to a free flowing game, goals from Culhane and Cian Monaghan found the net in the opening half as the hosts led 2-3 to 0-4 at the break.
Galway took advantage of the strong second-half wind with Jonathan McGrath finding the Roscommon net just three minutes into the second-half.
Galway had their fourth goal of the afternoon four minutes later as Ryan Monaghan pounced.
Donal O’Fatharta’s side refused to ease their foot off the pedal and further points from Ryan Monaghan, substitute Eoin Mannion and Cathal Sweeney added gloss to their victory.
Roscommon only mangaed one second-half point with their total of give poins coming from Paul McManus (2), Darragh Walsh, Ciaran Lawless and Thomas O’Rourke.
