Date Announced for Roscommon Senior Hurling Semi-final Replay

The Roscommon GAA County Board have confirmed this morning the Roscommon senior Hurling Championship Semi-Final replay between Padraig Pearses and Oran will take place in Athleague on Saturday September 16th. The match has been allocated a 5.30 throw in time.

The under 16 action will continue over the weekend in Connacht tomorrow.
Galway and Mayo will contest the Shield final, while Roscommon will face Galway CW at 7.45 in the Connacht GAA centre of Excellence.

In the plate competition Leitrim will continue their campaign with a match against Sligo.

It’s been a mixed weekend for Tyrone GAA supporters, Mickey Harte was ratified as senior football team manager for the three years, however the Ulster champions will have to plan without the services of Justin McMahon for season ahead after he confirmed his retirement from inter-county football.
The Omagh St Enda’s clubman made his senior debut in the Allianz League against Fermanagh in the 2007 season. McMahon Made his championship debut in the 2007 Ulster SFC final against Monaghan.
Mcmahon played in vital role in his sides All-Ireland success in 2008 and also picked up an All-Star for his performances that season.
The talented defender subsequently went on to win a further four Ulster medals in 2009, 2010, 2016 and 2017.
McMahon will continue to play for his club with whom he won a Tyrone SFC souvenir in 2014.
