Cork Roscommon Not Confirmed For Pairc Ui Chaoimh

Roscommon’s final super eight fixture against Cork may not take place in Pairc Ui Chaoimh and could be set for Pairc Ui Rinn.

The Irish Examiner report that a full pitch replacement scheduled for once the Munster provincial championships were completed has not yet been carried out.

The start date for this work will be known at the end of next week. It is only then a call will be made on the venue.

The GAA’s official website states that Pairc Ui Chaoimh will host the fixture on August third or fourth, if work is held off until after the August bank holiday the new stadium will be green lighted.

If Pairc Ui Chaoimh is unavailable, the fixture is expected to take place in Pairc Ui Rinn where Cork played their Munster semi-final with Limerick and three home league fixtures.
