Ciarán Comerford steps down as manager of the Roscommon hurling team

Ciarán Comerford has stepped down from his post as manager of the Roscommon hurling team.

Comerford was appointed Roscommon manager in November 2017.

The former Laois and Borris-Kilcotton player was in his final year at the helm of the senior team and was due to depart in September.

It’s understood that he felt it was feels this is a more appropriate time to step down as it allows a new manager to prepare for the Christy Ring Cup and the new season which will follow on so closely.
