We Had 34 Players Available: Dolan

St.Brigids Manager Frankie Dolan praised his backroom team as 34 players were available for Sunday’s Roscommon Senior football final.

St. Brigids claimed their 16th Roscommon senior title with a 3-13 to 3-7 victory over Roscommon Gales on Sunday.

St. Brigids goals coming from Brian Stack, Eddie Nolan and Conor Murray.

“Coming in as Manager you want your strongest team out in a county final, you’re playing against a serious outfit in Roscommon Gales” explained Dolan.

“Thankfully that’s down to Pat Regan and Dr. Damien Tiernan, the amount of work they have down over the years is unbelievable” added Dolan.

“Especially to the likes of Pat, we had a clean bill of Health going into the final, we had 34 players togged out, and to have that amount of players at your disposal is incredible”

“It’s a whole club effort, they have put in an amazing amount of work.”

The St.Brigids manager was quick to bring his side back to heart, as they now face Corofin in the AIB Connacht Senior Club Football Championship.

“We’ve an outrageous game against Corofin in a few weeks’ time, we got an awful hocking from them last year.”

“We have to get back training and we will be massive underdogs” explained Dolan. “We want to have a full rattle against them.”
