Promotion and survival the league stories for Roscommon and Leitrim

The final round of games in the Allianz national football league will take place this weekend.

In Division 2, Roscommon have one foot back in the top flight after their victory over Armagh on Saturday past and only require a draw or victory over Cavan this weekend in Kingspan Breffni to confirm their promotion.

Manager Anthony Cunningham was happy with the victory on the resumption of the league after a 7 month break, but knows certain elements of their performance will have to improve for future games

Meanwhile in Division 3 as noted, Longford have conceded their final round game to the already promoted Cork, while Leitrim who failed to field last weekend against Down, are reported to be availing of the Rapid Covid test which they hope will place them in a stronger position to field a team for this Sunday’s encounter against Tipperary.

A win for Terry Hylands side, could see them remain in Division 3 for 2021 depending on the result between Derry and Offaly.
